Williams’ ROKiT to sponsor W series

December 10, 2019

Williams’ title sponsor ROKiT phones have agreed a multi-year sponsorship deal with the burgeoning W Series that sees the telecoms company become its first major sponsor in its second year of competition.

The deal means that, as of next season, ROKiT’s logos will be on all 20 cars and drivers apparel, presumably (not confirmed) with a number of different executions based around the red, black and white of their logo, to allow each driver to be easily identifiable.

“We’re thrilled to welcome ROKiT to W Series” said Catherine Bond Muir, CEO of W Series.

“It’s also exciting to see a brand that’s already present in Formula 1, Formula E and other well-established race series, recognising and supporting opportunities for women in sport.”

Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman of ROKiT added “We’ve been amazed by the progress made and the success achieved by W Series since it smashed into the world of motorsport, and we really want to be a big part of its future as it develops over the next few years.”

“ROKiT is a young, ambitious, tech-driven company making waves at the leading edge of our industry, and this partnership is an absolute natural fit for us.”

The phones arm of the ROK brand ‘ROKiT Phones’, founded by innovators John-Paul DeJoria and Kendrick, pride themselves on offering state-of-the-art mobile handsets and services at a ‘attention-grabbing’ prices.

The deal also sees a strengthening of ties between the Williams and the female-only series, with the Formula 1 team already having brought W Series Champion Jamie Chadwick on board as development driver ahead of her maiden championship win.

Their sponsorship of the W Series is the latest in a string of motorsport investment for ROKiT, with their logos already visible on the cars of the Venturi Racing Formula E team and Motorbase in British Touring Car Championship alongside ROKiT Williams Racing.
